Choir Practice

Thursday, April 19, 2018 - 7:00pm - 8:30pm

Location: NTCSL Fireside Room

The NTCSL choir is a catalytic presence in our Spiritual Community and inspires our fellowship through dynamic performances, effervescent leadership, and its stalwart presence. Singing music in a variety of styles including gospel, pop, and classical, the Choir is featured approximately once a month at regular Sunday morning services.
When and Where Do We Meet
The time commitment to sing in the choir is substantial. Choir season is September through May. During this time choir members:
- Rehearse as a group weekly (Thursdays, 7:00 to 8:30 pm in the Fireside Room). Many choir members also spend time at home rehearsing their individual parts.
- Sing feature songs approximately once a month at regular Sunday morning services (7:30 am to 12:30 pm).
- Sing for special events such as Christmas and Easter.
- Sing group songs with the congregation. Choir members arrive on these Sundays at least 5 minutes before service. (Optional and Encouraged)
New members are welcomed throughout the year. The audition is easy, simple, and friendly. No prior singing experience is required, nor is the ability to read music; however, singers must demonstrate the ability to sing in tune. Prospective members should come to a regular weekly choir rehearsal, participate fully throughout the rehearsal during which time the choir director will listen for pitch accuracy. Choir members should complete “Foundations” – the first of four core classes taught at New Thought Center for Spiritual Living – within a year of joining the choir. For more information, contact:
