Deepen the conversation by bringing your own insights through processes to this learning circle. We will also relate discussions to the spiritual principles taught at NTCSL.
Experience this group before the Mark Nepo events at NTCSL on February 16 and 17. Mark's unique philosophy could well serve as a catalyst to awaken the spirit of humanity.

T'AI CHI CHIH Instructor

Jim Shorr facilitates a T’ai Chi Chih R class (“Joy with Movement”) at New Thought on Wednesday evenings: 6 to 6:55 pm in the Fireside Room. Both new and current learners are welcome. There is no charge for the practices.

He is certified to facilitate both T’ai Chi and Sejaku advanced classes. Additional practices are held the 1st and 3rd Saturday of each month from May through October In the Rose Gardens at 9:30 am (free). Benefits include: balance, heartful moving meditation, loosening of stiff joints, tendons, muscles, increased flexibility for sports conditioning, diminishing of lower back and neck issues.

In the professional world, Jim is a financial advisor with the Guidance Group in 4 Lincoln Center, Tigard. Among his specialties socially responsible investing, tax advantaged Investments, retirement planning. He is a chartered financial consultant designation (ChFC).

Christine and her daughters are active members of the NTCSL Community. Christine has a private spiritual guidance practice and is available to meet with congregants as requested. She has been a student of New Thought principles since 1999, following a series of life changing events, when she had the blessed opportunity to attend a New Thought retreat. Christine has a degree in psychology, is a published author and has worked in social services, specifically in childcare and mentoring for the last 20 years. Christine shares "It is my honor and joy to work closely with Volunteers, Staff, Ministry and Congregants at the Center. Christine enjoys managing and working through consciousness, allowing God's highest vision to be made manifest at the Center.

In 2007, at age 23, Jason Muraira left his home town of Olympia, WA on a journey of spiritual awakening and self-discovery. He has since lived in Southern California, Colorado, and Oregon. Studying creative writing and literature in college, Jason nurtured his love for creativity and self-expression. He has extensive experience in the business world where he works as a corporate buyer, creative problem solver, and advocate of win-win business solutions. In his spare time, Jason enjoys playing guitar, hiking, reading, and writing. Overcoming an abusive childhood, early drug addiction, gang affiliation, and depression, Jason has developed a passion for personal growth and connection with Spirit. He seeks to serve humanity by unfolding his gifts and helping others do the same.
