Charles Holt has starred in Broadway productions of Smokey Joe’s Café, Jesus Christ Superstar, and Lion King. He was the first African American to play the role of ‘Rocky’ in the European tour of ‘The Rocky Horror Show.’ Charles’ television credits include roles in ‘Law & Order: Criminal Intent,’ ‘All My Children,’ and the award winning film ‘Anne B. Real.’ He received high praise for his 20-character portrayal in his one-man stage play ‘Black Boy,’ based on Richard Wright’s autobiography, as well as his portrayal of Civil Rights activist, W.E.B. Du Bois in ‘The Smoke King.’
Charles performs extensively at New Thought Centers nationwide, including having sung the title role in ‘Jesus Christ Superstar’ with New Thought Center for Spiritual Living in 2009. He has produced two CDs: “I Am” and “Rushing Over Me.” His autobiographical manuscript, “The Voice That Matters” is due for release in April of 2012.
