Rev. Christine Green is the founding minister of Sacred Heart Ministries in Portland, Oregon and has been teaching and counseling others for over 20 years both nationally and abroad. With a background in business, education and spiritual studies, Christine has served in leadership roles in New Thought Ministries in California and Oregon. She has a Masters in Religious Studies and is the author of several books and articles on caregiving and women’s issues.

Christine teaches with compassion and clarity and is dedicated to sharing tools to reveal your authentic life. She has a gift of clearly directing the focus of the class, while also giving loving support to each one in it. She creates a safe and supportive environment so that participants feel free to express and grow.

As an author, retreat and workshop facilitator, speaker, and spiritual mentor, Christine finds her inspiration in empowering women to grow beyond their limitations and discover their inner strengths and amazing courage.

Laila Murphy

Laila Murphy has been performing in the Portland area for over ten years. She is passionate about providing music for people and has had the fortune of performing with the Oregon Symphony, Portland Opera, Broadway Across America, and many other groups in town. She has had leading roles in many musical theater productions such as Les Miserables (Eponine) with the Broadway Rose Theater Company and Once on This Island (Erzulie) with Stumptown Stages. Laila recently won first place in the NATS Musical Theater Competition for professional women and received honorable mention last Spring in the classical voice category. Laila provides music for many churches and spiritual groups around the Northwest. She finds music to be a "ladder for the soul" and loves sharing it with others. She teaches private lessons in her home studio in Lake Oswego, which continues to thrive with excitement. Laila is a graduate of Northwestern University with a degree in flute performance and musical theater. Her most prized possessions are her two beautiful daughters and her baby on the way!

Gary Skye

Gary Skye has studied piano at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music, Eastman School of Music, Stanford University, University of Southern California, and most recently, Portland State University where he earned his master’s degree in piano performance. Gary’s work as a church musician began at Santa Rosa Center for Spiritual Living where he also attended as a child. He’s served as a pianist, organist, and vocalist in various churches including San Jose CSL and Whole Life CSL. Gary has worked as a staff accompanist and vocal coach for many organizations and academic institutions, including Sonoma State University, San Francisco Conservatory of Music, and Interlochen Arts Academy in Michigan. In addition to his service through the music ministry at New Thought CSL, Gary maintains an active teaching studio of piano and vocal students and is a prolific composer of spiritual songs and chants.
