The Elders provides an opportunity to gather together twice a month to maintain connection, support, to teach others, and to explore the variability at this stage of life — and to make a connection within the larger community. Lenore celebrates being in the community of New Thought Center for Spiritual Living since its inception and being on the path of New Thought for over 30 years —in Eugene, Minneapolis and Portland. She brings the skills of listening and facilitating small groups, having been involved as an Intern with Wings Seminars of Eugene and being a facilitator of many Family-to-Family courses with the National Alliance on Mental Illness.
Lenore’s passion has to been provide welcoming and safe space for the exploration of ideas and to grow community. Currently Lenore is interested in the Elder connection within our community as Wisdom Keepers. What is ours to do and what is our place???
Sylvia DePue, MS, LSP:
Sylvia is a licensed Science of Mind Practitioner (LSP) and has been at NTCSL since it began. She volunteers on the Acts of Kindness team, Peace and Environmental Team, at MacClaren School for Boys, Compassionate Care Ministry, and the Elders Group.
Sylvia has more than 45 years as an educator and consultant in regular and Special Education and Deaf Education where she practiced observation, deep listening, non-judgment and accepting each individual right. She continues to evolve skills in her own daily life, as a Practitioner and a Life Coach. Sylvia is also a certified Life Coach with Maria Nemeth’s Academy for Coaching Excellence.
