In 1986, Dr. Michael Bernard Beckwith founded the Agape International Spiritual Center, a trans-denominational spiritual community whose doors are open to all seekers in search of authentic spirituality, personal transformation and selfless service to humankind. In his own words, “My aspiration is that every individual who is touched by the vibration of Agape is inspired to cultivate a heart of love as wide as the world."
The Agape community came out of the United Centers for Spiritual Living and became an independent community in 2006. Rev. Michael has taken the New Thought message to a global scale in the 21st century with projects like "The Secrete" with appearances on Larry King and Oprah and his new book and DVD "Spiritual Liberation." Rev. Michael Beckwith has been a friend and mentor to Rev. David since their first meeting in 1987.

Bishop Carlton Pearson
Submitted by revdavid on Tue, 09/09/2008 - 9:50am
Raised up as a voice of reason and moderation in a world of extremes, Carlton Pearson made a choice. He chose to tell the world that God's love is absolute and complete. A choice boldly declaring that God wants relationship with all of humanity; Jews, Hindus, Muslims, Hispanics, gays and any and all who have been marginalized by the dominant culture and considered unacceptable and unworthy by the Christian church at large.
Since being cast out by the Evangelical community and labeled a heritic, Bishop Pearson has found a new community of believers - believers of Oneness, Love and Inclusivity. He has been accepted for "Privilege of Call and Ministry" by the United Church of Christ and embraced by a widening circle of faith communities including Episcopalians, UCC, MCC, Unitarians Universalist, Buddhist, Native American, Jewish, Islamic, GLBT and New Thought. Bishop Pearson has been embraced and befriended by Bishop John Shelby Spong, Jim Garrison of Wisdom University and Rev. Dr. Michael Beckwith along with many others.
Over the last 2 years Rev. David Alexander and Bishop Pearson have become dear friends and supporters of each others work and ministries. Rev. David has been instrumental in supporting spread Bishop Pearson's message of Love and Inclusion throughout the New Thought Movement. Bishop Pearson has invited Rev. David to present at his up coming conference "Converging Faiths Leadership Summit."
