Laurel Airica, M.A.

Guest Speaker

Laurel Airica began peering into puns and the ‘cymbals’ of the alphabet in early childhood. In the process she developed insights into language that she later discovered were held by leading philosophers in ancient cultures of the East and West, including the fact that –

· Words speak for themselves in ways that both reflect and affect the cultural assumptions we mistake for reality and the innate wisdom we possess as humans;

· Creative wordplay can enhance literacy, awaken the natural philosopher within us, and lead us back to a primal recognition of the power of The Word to impact the quality of our World.

Laurel presents her mystic-linguistic perspective on English to public and private audiences on stage and in the classroom (4th-Grad School). Her vision to initiate a global movement for linguistic improvement began when she was a student of Rev. Dr. Michael Beckwith, founder/director of the Agape International Spiritual Community.
