While Black history is American history, February is officially designated as Black History Month. So, let’s continue digging in, learning, unlearning, gathering together and doing what is ours to do. All are welcome!
In honor of Black History Month, we invite you to watch the documentary “The African Americans: Many Rivers to Cross” by Henry Lewis Gates, Jr, which can be found on PBS.org and on YouTube (click here). Then join Rev Shannon & our global community for a two part safe Zoom conversation about what we learned, how we feel, and how we can contribute towards greater healing, justice, and peace.
This is a 6-part documentary series, each episode being approximately 53 minutes long.
On Sunday February 21, from 1:00-2:00 pm PST, we will discuss episodes 1-3.
On Sunday February 28, from 1:00-2:00 pm PST, we will discuss episodes 4-6.
If you haven’t viewed the episodes, attend anyway and enjoy & learn from the discussion!
