Jack first came to Portland in the late 80’s for college after growing up in the high desert of eastern Nevada. He enjoyed the northwest forests and rivers so much he stayed after undergrad and has lived in the Portland area ever since. He has always enjoyed the outdoors and worked in ecology, restoration and field biology studies, but has also always felt a spiritual connection to the living earth.
Since finding New Thought in the mid 90’s, delving into the Science of Mind and New Thought principles has brought many new insights as he has continued to explore the natural world and his spiritual path. He has two girls and he and his entire family have found life-enriching experiences through our New Thought spiritual communities.
He has been member of the NTCSL community since it began and served on the Board the first time for 4 ½ years and has enjoyed serving in many other ways to support the community leadership. As the NTCSL community continues to grow and touch people’s lives, he welcomes the opportunity to work again in the Board leadership. It is with profound gratitude that Jack recognizes how well NTCSL has supported and spiritually fed him to pursue a principle-centered life.
