NEW THOUGHT CENTER FOR SPIRITUAL LIVING

Sometimes, kindness needs no translation. Lost in France, overwhelmed at a toll booth, and unable to understand a word being spoken, Rev. Shannon discovered something beautiful: compassion has a language all its own. A gentle voice. Strangers offering reassurance. A reminder that even in our most frustrating moments, goodness is all around us. People are good. People are good. Oui, oui! 🇫🇷 ❤️ May we be the kindness someone else needs today. #PeopleAreGood #KindnessMatters #EverydayGoodness #NewThought #SpiritualLiving #ChooseKindness #NTCSL

Wherever You Go, You Are Held with Rev Shannon O'Hurley - Sundays at the Center

How do we continue to see goodness when the world feels difficult? Through stories of unexpected kindness from her recent travels, Rev. Shannon explores the goodness within people, the sacred found across spiritual traditions, and the everyday experiences that connect us to something greater. Her invitation for the week: Remember that the overwhelming majority of people are good. Do more of what brings you joy and helps you feel connected. And whatever situation you find yourself in, wherever you go, know that you are held. #NewThought #SpiritualLiving #YouAreHeld #NTCSL

Belonging isn’t something you have to earn. You are already part of something larger. Already connected. Already worthy of love. Maybe the practice isn’t finding where you belong. Maybe it’s learning to live from the truth that you already do. 💙 #Belonging #UnconditionalLove #NewThought #SpiritualLiving

We Belong to Each Other with Rev Shelly Walker - Sundays at the Center

What does it really mean to belong to each other without losing ourselves in the process? This week Rev. Shelly Walker explored the relationship between belonging, boundaries, self-care, and our capacity to give and receive. Real belonging doesn’t ask us to disappear into the needs of others. It makes room for both people. Our needs, our limits, our humanity, and our wholeness. As Rev. Shelly reminds us: “You still belong. Your rest belongs. Your limits belong.” This week, consider where you might practice receiving. Let someone help. Let someone carry something for you. Say, “I don’t have capacity for that right now,” and trust that healthy relationships can hold both a wholehearted yes and a healthy no. Because belonging isn’t a transaction. It’s a flow. Giving and receiving. Breathing in and breathing out. Caring for others and caring for ourselves. ❤️ We belong to each other. What if balance isn’t somewhere we finally arrive? Rev. Shelly reminds us that the practice is recognizing when we drift, returning with tenderness, and trusting that our center is still there. “The door was never locked. It was waiting.” 💙 #Shorts #NewThought #Spirituality #SelfCompassion #NTCSL

A New Kind of Belonging with Rev Shelly Walker - Sundays at the Center

A New Kind of Belonging | Rev. Shelly Walker We often think of balance as something we can finally achieve, a peaceful place where everything lines up and stays that way. Rev. Shelly offers another possibility: balance is not a destination. It is a practice of returning. In this week’s talk, she explores the connection between balance, belonging and repair, and invites us to look at the places in our lives that feel out of balance with greater tenderness. Rather than asking, “What’s wrong with me?” we can begin to notice where we’ve wandered from ourselves, what our lives may be asking us to hear, and what one small act of repair might look like. You don’t have to achieve perfect balance in order to belong. You already know the way home. 💙 Learn more at newthoughtcsl.org

“You, every single one of you, are the masterpiece.” What changes when you stop seeing yourself as a work that needs fixing and begin recognizing the truth of who you already are? 💙 You are the masterpiece. #NewThought #SpiritualLiving #Masterpiece #NTCSL

Turning Towards What's True with Rev Shannon O'Hurley - Sundays at the Center

What if finding our way forward is really about remembering the way home? In this week’s talk, Rev. Shannon draws on the wisdom of Rosh Hashanah and Teshuvah, the practice of returning, to explore what it means to gently clear away the things that can obscure our true nature. Through the beautiful imagery of a restored masterpiece, a sunflower turning toward the light, and a homing pigeon guided by its internal compass, we’re reminded that the light we’re seeking has never left us. This week’s invitation: ✨ Make amends where needed, including with yourself. 🌻 Consciously turn toward the light. 💙 When life feels difficult, breathe, turn within, and remember that you are home.
