🏳️‍🌈 Rainbow Alliance Group at NTCSL

The Rainbow Alliance Group at New Thought Center for Spiritual Living is a spiritually grounded, justice-driven space for LGBTQIA+ individuals and their allies to connect, grow, and take action together. Our group individuals are committed to cultivating belonging, education, visibility, and compassion within our spiritual center and far beyond it.

🌟 Our Mission

We are a spirit-led, action-driven team committed to affirming and uplifting lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, intersexual, asexual, non-binary and all gender-diverse people. We know we need our Allies and full support from those who will stand with us as well. Rooted in love, justice, and radical belonging, we work to protect dignity, foster connection, and champion the full expression of every individual. We offer up a support group of a sacred safe space. Through education, advocacy, and community engagement, we strive to build a world where all people are seen, safe, and celebrated.

💖 What We Do

Based in the principles of New Thought, our individuality blends spiritual support with meaningful action. Our group hosts regular gatherings that include check-ins, discussion, prayer, and event planning. Our focus is on fostering real-world impact while creating a safe and uplifting space for LGBTQIA+ voices.

Our work spans education, outreach, celebration, and advocacy. Whether we’re leading a workshop, supporting local activism, or holding space for one another in community our group is committed to spiritual alignment and social engagement.

🌈 Portland Pride & Ongoing Impact

In 2025, we were honored to participate in Portland Pride, and it was a truly joyful and uplifting experience. We were grateful to be part of such a vibrant celebration, marching in the parade with love, engaging with festival-goers at our booth, and sharing conversations, resources, and heart with our wider community. Pride will always reflect values we hold dear: authenticity, connection, and unconditional love.

Our individual group members are committed to showing up again and again. We plan to continue participating in future Pride events, lead workshops, organize Center-based events, and support LGBTQIA+ communities through visibility, education, and compassion, across many different facets of spiritual and civic life.
