Rev. Shannon O'Hurley

Senior Minister

Rev. Shannon O’Hurley serves as the Senior Minister of New Thought Center.

She holds a masters degree in Consciousness Studies and a second masters in Conflict Resolution and Peace-building with an emphasis in Social Advocacy and Interreligious Dialogue.

In 2017, she had the great good fortune to meet President Obama and was invited to serve as the Director for the State of Colorado for his non-profit, Organizing for Action, where she supported refugees, Dreamers, and worked to ensure Equal Rights for Women and the LGBTQ populations.

She is a passionate advocate for Human Dignity for all people and her ministry is dedicated to creating a world that works for everyone.

Rev. Shelly Walker

Associate Minister

I am Shelly Walker and it is my joy to serve as your Associate Minister. I have served in this spiritual community for over 25 years, applying the principles we teach and learning the tools and skills I need to be a happy, healthy human. My passion is passing those skills and principles, which have profoundly changed my life, on to others. I love to teach, especially when the work is around finances, relationships, and healthy self-worth.

As Associate Minister, I work with the Adult Education department, the Marketing Team, the Stewardship Team, and the Board of Trustees, in addition to speaking on Sundays and teaching workshops and classes. Each of these roles reflect my years as a businesswoman, teacher, and team-builder. It is my joy to work with you to co-create vibrant, healthy, and joyous Spiritual Community.

I live in beautiful Lake Oswego, Oregon with my large, beautiful family, where we love to cook together, sing together, and laugh together as we create memories every day.
